Moving next month

With September on its way, I don’t have to worry about school or Uni anymore, I will be moving to a bungalow I placed a deposit on – a few miles from where I live – within the next three or four weeks. God willing, the sale of my family home and land concludes this coming Friday.

Given the amount of money I’ll receive, minus the value of my new home, I should have enough to last me thirty years; provided I maintain an expenses cap of £1,000 a month. With the prices of goods going up alarmingly, that will be a mammoth task. However, I have become teachable. I may even begin growing spuds for myself. (the new bungalow has a greenhouse in its back garden, as well)

I have also started using Brave browser, and they have ‘Rewards’ with Crypto Trading. Perhaps I would need help on that, I have about as much foresight as those who planned the Afghanistan/Iraq invasions. However, I have been curious on the issues of alternative investments. Never enter the Jungle without a Guide.

Last Wednesday, I was at Belfast Zoo with WAVE Omagh. Which brings me to the Proposed Troubles Pension. I have up to five years to complete the application, but only get one crack at it. Hopefully, I’ll get sufficient evidence of my Mental Health issues, and loss of income, caused by my Father’s death to merit an award.

That’s the plan.

Meanwhile, in the Gaelic Football World, Tyrone defied logic by beating Kerry in yesterday’s All-Ireland Semi-Final. In Proper Football, the Bees are still unbeaten. But Arsenal still haven’t scored, and had another tame surrender.

No job – But much-needed rest!

I didn’t go back to the job. Instead, I got an appointment – by phone – in a few weeks with my Key Worker and Shrink about a diagnosis of General Anxiety Disorder. For now, I have a leaflet about Anxiety.

My brother wanted a drive-in test for Covid last week. He didn’t get one, but I got a home-kit test; which I did yesterday morning. God willing, it will be another negative. It might be my hayfever acting up that’s making my throat sore.

I got a Tonic drink- that I ordered from Holland and Barrett. Because of that, I feel more energised. Plus, I am taking Vitamin C tablets – fizzy. Perhaps online shopping isn’t so bad. 🙂

This week is the week where public-sector workers are on annual leave; due to ‘The Twelfth.’ I am still awaiting a refund from EasyJet. I passed on the contacts to the Consumer Council; only to find out that they’re off all week, and most of the staff are furloughed. That’s what happens whenever a country is so dependent on the Government for employment. 😦

And I am pissed off at Thierry Henry. US issues have NO PLACE in Football. 😐

Awkward moment for me at a bar yesterday

Yesterday I was in Dublin and was watching the FA Cup (Soccer) game between Arsenal and Preston North End at a bar in Dun Laoghaire and got to speak to a guy from Portsmouth who supports Tottenham Hotspur – our arch rivals – and we had good banter, and even some tidbits about graphic design opportunities – his girlfriend is a graphic designer – but it was a double-edged sword as he wanted me to approach these two German women in the bar for a drink. Of course, I made a pig’s ear of it. Being placed on a pedestal is difficult for those with Asperger’s.

I always feel that being socially awkward inhibits me when I want to go out. Naturally, I’m more confident in my own wee cocoon. But I managed well. In spite of the mishap.
