Trying to avoid the news

The news, even Social Media, is freaking me out. I, genuinely, believe we’re in Dante’s Inferno. However, I can only change myself. No more attempts to save the World; while still going to McDonald’s and Starbucks! (j/k)

I feel a bit bland. Having set myself challenges for 2020; the past eleven months have turned everything upside down. God will sort me out. There’s no one else to turn to.

Poem – I don’t want to wear a mask!

The Golden Circle of Ocean Colour Scene

Politicians talking one for the team

Won’t end until there’s a Vaccine!

I don’t want to wear a mask!

Expressing solidarity

with Ruby, Jenny and AP

Twelve hour shift, but only lasted three!

I don’t want to wear a mask!

I don’t want to wear a mask!

I want to remember the Holy Child!

It’s a hard, but worthy, task

Manchester and London reconciled!

A bypass full of dense fog

Thinking of an infected Sprog!

Punk by nature, but playing Prog!

I don’t want to wear a mask!

They said that my leader is a whore

While sorting out the de-gown chore!

Left me breathless, contact Jim Corr!

I don’t want to wear a mask!

I don’t want to wear a mask!

I’m not riding a peleton bike!

Coffee in a Tim Horton’s flask

Turning me into David Icke!

Couldn’t fit the suit, due to my groin!

Too fond of a sirloin

And a perfect pass by De Bruyne!

I don’t want to wear a mask!

No more open pubs

To hear the bitching about the Dubs!

Davy Crockett, but without Tubbs!

I don’t want to wear a mask!

I don’t want to wear a mask!

It’s a cartoon from the eighties!

Too much wealth Monegasque

Sent over to fix HaΓ―ti!

A lifetime with Autism!

The Reformation and the Great Schism!

The world’s now just one huge prison!

I don’t want to wear a mask!

Looking for work? They don’t care!

We all now have to do our own hair

‘Cause the Kingmakers are all on Welfare!

I don’t want to wear a mask!

Internet in the Boonies!

I switched from EE to Three for my broadband. However, it’s horrendously slow and unreliable; my upload speeds are only in K; I’m not s**tting you.

Yesterday, I had to pay for new blades for my windscreen wipers and also fix the motor as the fast wiping didn’t work. More expenses. :\ I had to call Lifeline, Samaritans and a friend from America to outreach.

One positive that I can use either one of my phones as a Hotspot in the meantime. But sometimes I wish I was Amish and never had to worry about Technology.

Faith

My Christian conviction has nothing WHATSOEVER to do with ‘religion’ or ‘church’. It’s about faith.

I see all the retro-80’s Sexual Nihilism in our media, especially with Celebrity slappers like Ariana Grande and the Jenners, and wonder if the Catholic cover up of child abuse was a smoking gun aimed at dismantling traditional morals. All these dysfunctional gold-diggers are also another smoking gun aimed at ridiculing the sacrament of marriage. Young men have lost motivation in today’s society and don’t see a life beyond pizza and porno. Yet, no one is standing up for us blokes.

Also, our ancestors broke their backs to try and get to heaven. Then the past four or five generations have defaulted themselves into believing that they’re condemned to hell. Why? Because, as far as I’m concerned, Government Education has conditioned children to believe that Adulthood is a life-long prison sentence. This Behemoth has usurped Western values in a tacit, unconscious manner.

Also, the medical evidence that contraception is inextricably linked to depression and anxiety in young women and teenage girls vindicates my faith’s opposition to unnatural family planning. However, it seems that Christians have been muted by the media; leftist bias.

Keep Calm and turn off your TV! πŸ™‚

One year since I began this blog (plus teaching myself Linux commands)

I have been inconsistent in my blogging, busy with other stuff, but a few weeks ago, a week after gran died, I was at an IT Meetup and learned how to create a Tarball file using Linux Terminal – I use Terminal on Mac OS X at the moment as my IT friend from Coagh is experiencing difficulty dual-booting my old MacBook with Ubuntu. Such is life. Trying to learn a few more Linux commands. πŸ™‚ Bourne Again Shell. πŸ™‚

Signed off Employment and Support Allowance today, hoping to do the same with Housing Benefit on Monday. I’ll be talking a chunk out of the account my gran had in her name, my name and my brother’s name on Friday and will arrange to pay rent where I’m currently at; though it will mean no more supported living costs. But I’m no longer a Charity Case. πŸ™‚

Here are some links for my Terminal lessons;

Watch out Wiggo, I’m out to see if you’re still juicing. πŸ™‚

Getting Started

I am a 36 Year-Old Single Guy living in Magherafelt in County Derry; originally from Ardboe in County Tyrone; and have been out of full time work since January 2007 for several reasons. During that time I passed the driving test; 23 July 2007; became Full-Time Carer for my elderly Grandmother; who is now Ninety Years-Old; and for the past Seven Months have lived on my own envisioning the next scheme I would create to improve my life.

I live in Praxis Accommodation and have featured on ‘Derry County Matters’ on IrishTV about the Garden in our Flats. The feature can be shown on http://tiny.cc/desmondontv (ours is the first feature on it)

I graduated in Computing Science in 2001 with a 2:2, but was unable to find work in that profession. Looking back, I was too full of entitlement to push myself back then. My Mum died of Parkinson’s Disease on 28 January 2008. My Father was killed in the Northern Ireland ‘Troubles’ on 29 November 1989. However I have grown stronger out of that adversity and refuse to consider myself a Victim.

I also have Social Anxiety, Asperger’s Syndrome, Depression and Schizophrenia. Plus, I need to lose wight.

More about me later.
