I didn’t go back to the job. Instead, I got an appointment – by phone – in a few weeks with my Key Worker and Shrink about a diagnosis of General Anxiety Disorder. For now, I have a leaflet about Anxiety.
My brother wanted a drive-in test for Covid last week. He didn’t get one, but I got a home-kit test; which I did yesterday morning. God willing, it will be another negative. It might be my hayfever acting up that’s making my throat sore.
I got a Tonic drink- that I ordered from Holland and Barrett. Because of that, I feel more energised. Plus, I am taking Vitamin C tablets – fizzy. Perhaps online shopping isn’t so bad. 🙂
This week is the week where public-sector workers are on annual leave; due to ‘The Twelfth.’ I am still awaiting a refund from EasyJet. I passed on the contacts to the Consumer Council; only to find out that they’re off all week, and most of the staff are furloughed. That’s what happens whenever a country is so dependent on the Government for employment. 😦
And I am pissed off at Thierry Henry. US issues have NO PLACE in Football. 😐
America is Socialist!
Russia is Capitalist!
The most high-profile footballer is a woman!
Mainstream Pop discusses Rape and Self-Harm!
Britain is accusing Ireland of being Elitist!
And Conservatives don’t want to go to War!
I switched from EE to Three for my broadband. However, it’s horrendously slow and unreliable; my upload speeds are only in K; I’m not s**tting you.
Yesterday, I had to pay for new blades for my windscreen wipers and also fix the motor as the fast wiping didn’t work. More expenses. I had to call Lifeline, Samaritans and a friend from America to outreach.
One positive that I can use either one of my phones as a Hotspot in the meantime. But sometimes I wish I was Amish and never had to worry about Technology.

Christmas was quiet but enjoyable. I did get to see Home Alone at Dun Laoghaire Theatre’s Cinema Screen; reminiscing about the ‘Good Old Days’ prior to the Internet and 9/11. I even thought of a sonnet based on a joke I had created saying that if Kevin was a kid today he would eat the Tide that he bought. 🙂
New Year, same old me. 🙂 But I lost weight over the Christmas period. Now that I’m ‘Back to Porridge’, I am tempted to rationalise eating junk again to ‘celebrate’ my weight loss over the Christmas Period. My mind and I belong together. 🙂
This morning – Tuesday, January 08 – I had registered with another recruitment agency. Keep on plodding along. Plus, I applied for what seems like a role too good to be true in Cookstown. If it isn’t what it says on the tin, so be it.
My friend who painted my walls and ceilings did my guttering this morning while I was away in Portadown. That’s another load off my mind. I know that things will work out in 2019 if I ignore all the hullabaloo over ‘Armageddon’ following Brexit, lol.
Tunes: (and more)
Bad news: (Bad news ALWAYS comes first)
I had to resign from the job in Portadown I got over a bureaucratic rigmarole regarding Occupational Health at the agency involved declining a fit for work certificate required. After contacting the agency and health professionals, it was too much stress and strain in the end. Therefore I resigned and the agency will keep searching for other roles that don’t require that fit for work certificate.
I was paid for the two days I did work last week. 🙂
Pope Francis – a self-confessed Marxist – in in Ireland. And Conservatives are supposed to rejoice? Seems like everyone has goldfish memory-spans. 😐
Tunes (and flashbacks):
I have realised that I need to stop procrastinating so much on the ironing. Asking others to help me with it is also a fruitless exercise, sometimes I can get mad at working mothers. But, ultimately, I need to learn how to stand on my own two feet. Especially as my DLA has now been taken from me. The mandatory reconsideration has taken place. However, I won’t receive supplementary payments due to having no points in my initial review. Such is life.
Last Wednesday’s Interview turned me into a bag of nerves. I himmedand hammed throughout. But a Specialisterne representative was with me. If I don’t receive an offer, I will request feedback. In the meantime I’ve applied for a job closer to home. Plenty of Admin roles for construction firms; with the building of the new bypass outside Toome.
The issue with Hurricane Irma is that it is a distraction from the anniversary of 9/11. Not that it’s difficult to distract folks nowadays. 🙂
I only got an hour and a half of sleep last night. The night before, following the BBQ, I sleep for over fourteen hours. Problem is, I need caffeine to keep me going during the day. Routine is still a challenge for me.
Tomorrow is the Fourth of July. To America! The cause of, and solution to, all the world’s problems. 🙂
Perhaps in order to find substantial work I would have to move closer to Belfast and commute by bus or train. Nothing to see here. 🙂
Looks like I have another Summer Cold. My cleaner will be coming over in a few hours time to sort out stuff for me and then I will get a shave and finally get rest before getting up early tomorrow for a Meetup in Dublin. The things one has to do to get out there. 🙂
