Peaceful Twelfth

No major incidents yesterday on the Twelfth. Perhaps that the Orange and Green benefit classes are no longer being appeased by the Government. 🙂

I just visited a relative yesterday and she mentioned her experience working for a bank. She was her own person and that worked to her advantage in the end. 🙂 Lesson for us all.

Now I can see that perhaps it’s not all bad news that the DUP and Tories are forming the new UK Government. The Unionists have had to calm down and reduce the rhetoric about bonfires. The hysteria about the racist symposium of Scott Sinclair and Bananas is now forgotten. Lest we forget, Celtic Fans threw bananas at Mark Walters whenever he played for Rangers.

Got rid of K9 Web Protection on my MacBook Pro and can now use YouTube and Behance on Mac OS X now. Yay! Also have Grammarly on Mac OS X. But I’m not sure if I’ll subscribe to Premium. You need money to make money here. The American stories of moving from living in one’s car to living prosperously don’t exist here. Perhaps our benefits system is far too safety first. :/

Tunes/Clips:

One year since I began this blog (plus teaching myself Linux commands)

I have been inconsistent in my blogging, busy with other stuff, but a few weeks ago, a week after gran died, I was at an IT Meetup and learned how to create a Tarball file using Linux Terminal – I use Terminal on Mac OS X at the moment as my IT friend from Coagh is experiencing difficulty dual-booting my old MacBook with Ubuntu. Such is life. Trying to learn a few more Linux commands. 🙂 Bourne Again Shell. 🙂

Signed off Employment and Support Allowance today, hoping to do the same with Housing Benefit on Monday. I’ll be talking a chunk out of the account my gran had in her name, my name and my brother’s name on Friday and will arrange to pay rent where I’m currently at; though it will mean no more supported living costs. But I’m no longer a Charity Case. 🙂
