Hot under the collar

Today, I drove to Sion Mills and back. The drive was to attend a Strawberry Fair at the Parish Church. There was a Country String Band playing; as well as a Bagpipe Band and an Orange Flute Band. I had taken photos which are on http://www.tinyurl.com/des-flickr

I got home in one piece, after getting frustrated with driving across the Sperrins.

Then, after returning home, I walked to the cemetery in Ardboe for the annual blessing of the graves. Then my uncle lifted me back. I was glad that I had a good day. The weather was beautiful. 🙂

Also, miracle of miracles, my ‘r’ key on my MacBook Pro works again. There is no logical reasoning why that happened. It was an act of God.

Feeling a bit better

I had a normal night’s sleep last night, after being sick as a dog all afternoon and evening yesterday, and I bought food to do me for a while. But visiting gran was a thankless task as she cut the face of me not not bringing her biscuits; God love her. The nurses said she won’t be able to go home until she can get up at night and go to the toilet by herself. Again, it’s all up to the man in the sky.

I’m glad that Iceland managed to get a draw against Portugal. Stick it up to the Man. 🙂

Now I am winding down for tonight. Grateful that yesterday I obtained the IBAN number for my Nationwide account in Ballymena and then close my Co-Operative Bank account; paying off the overdraft. But the sickness was a physical act of resistance towards positive action. But I braved the worst of it. 🙂
