Internet in the Boonies!

I switched from EE to Three for my broadband. However, it’s horrendously slow and unreliable; my upload speeds are only in K; I’m not s**tting you.

Yesterday, I had to pay for new blades for my windscreen wipers and also fix the motor as the fast wiping didn’t work. More expenses. :\ I had to call Lifeline, Samaritans and a friend from America to outreach.

One positive that I can use either one of my phones as a Hotspot in the meantime. But sometimes I wish I was Amish and never had to worry about Technology.

First World Problems (and First World Solutions)

Yesterday I was sick when driving and was so desperate to get my laundry done that I forgot to take my smartphone out. (d’oh) However, god willing, the account that gran has in Monaghan will soon be closed as she now has a PPS number and my brother will send it to our solicitor in Cookstown. Hopefully I can sort out a new smartphone and clear off my debts. 🙂

Gran was mad looking home yesterday, but the doctor says she may need to spend a few more days in hospital. Tomorrow I’ll be heading to Rathlin Island for a trip with my posse. Without a smartphone I am kinda tied up with progress on gran. God willing, it will be sorted out.

Still have a sore throat. Back on the Co-Codamol. :S

Losing Weight (and Inhibitions)

Today I had a weigh-in from the Dietitian; first appointment since the day before I flew to Paris back in October; and all my hard work giving up sugar paid off. I lost over 15 Pounds and am now under 300 Pounds for the first time in over a Year. Next goal is to get under 20 Stone; 280 Pounds.

Today I had my Health and Safety qualification exam. Yesterday’s induction to Health and Safety went well as both the guy taking it and the Inspector keeping a tab on him were both mighty impressed by me and my attitude; first impressions count. 🙂

Now I feel that, in spite of the gloomy weather and the issue around my car; things are starting to get better.
