The Neverending Story

Another planned Lockdown;

Another Booster;

Sleep issues; I moved into my new home seven weeks ago.

Money burning a hole in my pocket; Damn Fiat Currency.

Bees threw away a promising position; last-gasp equaliser by Bamford at Elland Road.

Moortown won the Tyrone Intermediate Championship, and won their Quarter-Final in Ulster comfortably.

Tru-D’oh plans the Mark of the Beast in Canada.

Arsenal blowing promising positions.

Ah, well! At least my side of the street’s clean this Christmas.

Moving next month

With September on its way, I don’t have to worry about school or Uni anymore, I will be moving to a bungalow I placed a deposit on – a few miles from where I live – within the next three or four weeks. God willing, the sale of my family home and land concludes this coming Friday.

Given the amount of money I’ll receive, minus the value of my new home, I should have enough to last me thirty years; provided I maintain an expenses cap of ยฃ1,000 a month. With the prices of goods going up alarmingly, that will be a mammoth task. However, I have become teachable. I may even begin growing spuds for myself. (the new bungalow has a greenhouse in its back garden, as well)

I have also started using Brave browser, and they have ‘Rewards’ with Crypto Trading. Perhaps I would need help on that, I have about as much foresight as those who planned the Afghanistan/Iraq invasions. However, I have been curious on the issues of alternative investments. Never enter the Jungle without a Guide.

Last Wednesday, I was at Belfast Zoo with WAVE Omagh. Which brings me to the Proposed Troubles Pension. I have up to five years to complete the application, but only get one crack at it. Hopefully, I’ll get sufficient evidence of my Mental Health issues, and loss of income, caused by my Father’s death to merit an award.

That’s the plan.

Meanwhile, in the Gaelic Football World, Tyrone defied logic by beating Kerry in yesterday’s All-Ireland Semi-Final. In Proper Football, the Bees are still unbeaten. But Arsenal still haven’t scored, and had another tame surrender.

Letting Go of the Outcomes

I feel that letting go of the need to search for jobs left, right and centre has paid off; in the end.

I got a new car last Wednesday. And, this Friday, my brother and I will be signing a probate oath; at least I assume it will be the resolution of the Probtae following gran’s death. Then, more money will arrive.

The family home and land are sold. But I have about four or five months before I have to move. Less stress. ๐Ÿ™‚

Also, the PIP re-application arrived at the Office on Monday morning. The form was filled last Thursday. It will take a week to register on the system. But they extended the deadline to ease the backlog of cases and applications.

Feeling better. My sensory overloads over the past few weeks drove me insane. Now, I’m having more me time.

Being considered for Condition Management Programme

Condition Management Programme – Northern Ireland

I had to turn down THREE offers for an interview to prepare for this scheme, for twelve weeks, as my employment advisor said that I am not currently work-ready. However, I have other plans for my life. After heading across various places on Meetups and other trips, I guess I have to slow down. Not just for my health but also as I can no longer sustain my current lifestyle.

My only concern is the issue surrounding my benefits. I am only entitled to PIP – as it isn’t means tested – and this scheme used to be subject to means-tested benefits. God willing, they will have removed that precondition.

Also, I have plans for getting a cake for my brother’s thirtieth birthday. Watch this space.

Peaceful Twelfth

No major incidents yesterday on the Twelfth. Perhaps that the Orange and Green benefit classes are no longer being appeased by the Government. ๐Ÿ™‚

I just visited a relative yesterday and she mentioned her experience working for a bank. She was her own person and that worked to her advantage in the end. ๐Ÿ™‚ Lesson for us all.

Now I can see that perhaps it’s not all bad news that the DUP and Tories are forming the new UK Government. The Unionists have had to calm down and reduce the rhetoric about bonfires. The hysteria about the racist symposium of Scott Sinclair and Bananas is now forgotten. Lest we forget, Celtic Fans threw bananas at Mark Walters whenever he played for Rangers.

Got rid of K9 Web Protection on my MacBook Pro and can now use YouTube and Behance on Mac OS X now. Yay! Also have Grammarly on Mac OS X. But I’m not sure if I’ll subscribe to Premium. You need money to make money here. The American stories of moving from living in one’s car to living prosperously don’t exist here. Perhaps our benefits system is far too safety first. :/

One year since I began this blog (plus teaching myself Linux commands)

I have been inconsistent in my blogging, busy with other stuff, but a few weeks ago, a week after gran died, I was at an IT Meetup and learned how to create a Tarball file using Linux Terminal – I use Terminal on Mac OS X at the moment as my IT friend from Coagh is experiencing difficulty dual-booting my old MacBook with Ubuntu. Such is life. Trying to learn a few more Linux commands. ๐Ÿ™‚ Bourne Again Shell. ๐Ÿ™‚

Signed off Employment and Support Allowance today, hoping to do the same with Housing Benefit on Monday. I’ll be talking a chunk out of the account my gran had in her name, my name and my brother’s name on Friday and will arrange to pay rent where I’m currently at; though it will mean no more supported living costs. But I’m no longer a Charity Case. ๐Ÿ™‚

Here are some links for my Terminal lessons;

Watch out Wiggo, I’m out to see if you’re still juicing. ๐Ÿ™‚

Managing my life better

My brother began Uni on Monday and now I have to hold fort at gran’s overnight from Sundays to Thursdays and I am coping much better. My time management is much better, plus I’m not spending as much shit as I used to as I have disciplined myself to pass the time with my MacBook Pro and Android phone using my brother’s WiFi.

Sleeping during the day and operating at night is better for me as I am not tempted to drive to a 24-Hour shop in order to buy stuff.

On Sunday night I saw the Beatles movie, but didn’t stay to watch the Hollywood Bowl gig that came after the movie because I really had to get back to my place and sleep.

Life is much better now as I am appreciating the effort I made to better my life, as well as my brother’s. Good job, Des! ๐Ÿ™‚

Been a while since I posted

Gran is now at home and we have arranged an agreement which works out both better and cheaper than taking her to a care home. ๐Ÿ™‚ I have to hold fort from 6 pm to 10 pm every evening, except Wednesday, including weekends. A few evenings I’ve been stressed out, but now I run my domestic errands during the afternoon to prevent burn out.

My voluntary job is going well, they’re mighty impressed at my work rate and how quickly I’ve been up to speed. Today I applied for a local Admin/Receptionist role, but feel that the issue around our Housing Benefit agreement at my place has caught me between a rock and a hard place. The Government here are pure catchpennies.

I try to make my presence known to the world and feel I’ve learned so much from it. More often than not, whenever I go for a walk I pick up the litter on the pavements and put them in my own bin bag. It’s an example of vigilante action reducing dependency on the state. I feel that the slothful are cannon fodder. They may complain about the state banning smoking in public buildings or public drinking of alcohol, but when the chips are down they expect someone else to sort out their rubbish; usually the state.

Back to School tomorrow for a lot of kids. My cousin’s eldest son’s first day in Primary School is tomorrow. Lord only knows what he’s letting himself into. Most kids here are raised in bars and learn all the smut of the day; even a song on 4Music today at 2 pm at the Kurdish Barber I attended today was called ‘Sex’ and had a Sex Ed Teacher enticing teenage boys; if it had been a man my age enticing teenage girls there would be a public outcry.

Busy week or so

I’m currently holding fort at gran’s as my brother has to get up in a few hours time for work; I’ve been up all night like a martyr but am gonna get some money from my brother in the end. ๐Ÿ™‚ I have been kept occupied by emailing friends and typing up sonnets I had written over the past month or so, plus an attempt at a song I also wrote. So I can have a bona fide type up of my work. Remember the difference between, “Let’s eat, grandma!” and “Let’s eat grandma!” Correct grammar saves lives, even though I’m the King of typos. :p

No nausea this time, last week I purged due to feeling queasy, but this time I brought ginger mints and a newspaper to sit on to avoid nausea. Just another few hours to go. *Impatient*
